Venelia III
It is a statue stele head found in 1995 in the locality of Pescara di Monti di Licciana (Licciana Nardi, MS) among a pile of stones, probably debris from construction works or road excavations. It belongs to Group B and can therefore be attributed to the Eneolithic period (between 3400/3300 and 2300/2000 BC). The head is semi-circular, with a low arch and lateral expansions, and the neck, partially broken, is truncated-conical. The face, in the shape of a “U,” is missing its upper part, and two cup marks are visible on the sides. A collar composed of seven elements is depicted on the neck.
Currently, it is preserved in the Restoration Center of the Archaeological Superintendence for Tuscany.
