Soliera

The head and part of the body of a male statue stele. It was found in the Torsana di Soliera locality (Fivizzano, MS) in 1979. It belongs to Group C and dates back to the Iron Age, between the 8th and 6th centuries BC. It is broken in the lower part below the chest, and the surfaces are heavily deteriorated. The body is roughly rectangular, and the head is rounded. The face, barely visible and in a concave shape, forms a “U.” The clavicular band, barely discernible, is slightly raised. On the chest, an axe with a square blade can be glimpsed.
