San Cristoforo di Gordana
Statue, possibly female and mutilated in its upper part. It was found in 1948 during the transformation work of a chestnut grove into a cereal crop field in a small flat area called ‘Piano di S. Cristoforo,’ near the village of S. Cristoforo di Gordana (Pontremoli, MS). Despite its fragmented state, based on the type of upper limbs, it can possibly be attributed to Group B and thus assigned to the Eneolithic period (between 3400/3300 and 2300/2000 BC). The body is rectangular with the upper limbs in relief and slightly bent at the elbows; the hands are depicted with parallel lines.
It is preserved at the Museum of Pontremoli.
