Mocrone
This head of a stele statue was likely found in the Canova area in the Piano di Mocrone (Villafranca in Lunigiana, MS) in 1978 during the transformation work of a chestnut grove into a cereal crop field. It belongs to Group B and can therefore be traced back to the Eneolithic period (between 3400/3300 and 2300/2000 BC). It is a head with a neck and traces of the shoulder attachment. The face, in a “U” shape, was partially damaged at the time of its discovery.
It is preserved at the Museum of Pontremoli.
