Malgrate VI

This female stele statue, broken in the entire lower part and along the left side, was discovered in 1981 during agricultural work at Casa Agosti in Malgrate (Villafranca in Lunigiana, MS). It belongs to Group B and can therefore be dated back to the Eneolithic period (between 3400/3300 and 2300/2000 BC). It is fractured in the entire lower part and along the left side. It features a rectangular body, a truncated conical neck, and a semi-circular head. The face, barely visible, is surrounded by a narrow raised band that also indicates the nose. The clavicular band is narrow and raised, and the only remaining breast is depicted in relief and has a hemispherical shape.

It is preserved at the Museum of Pontremoli.
