Filetto VIII
The head of an arenaria statue stele with part of the neck is found around 1950 during the clearing works of the forest in Filetto (Villafranca in Lunigiana, MS). It belongs to Group B and dates back to the Eneolithic period (between 3400/3300 and 2300/2000 BC). The head has a semi-elliptical shape, with the lower part slightly broken, and it is delimited by a ribbon-like circle. The upper part of the circle has a vertical extension indicating the nose. The eyes are represented as raised circular shapes, and two small raised circles, positioned on the sides of the head at slightly different heights, depict the ears or earrings.
It is preserved at the Museum of Pontremoli.
