Canossa I
The male sandstone stele statue, lacking the head, was found in the “al Monte” locality (Mulazzo, MS), near the Canossa cemetery, in 1972. It belongs to group B (D.173,174) and dates back to the Eneolithic period (between 3400/3300 and 2300/2000 BC). It has a rectangular shape with a narrow and downward-curved clavicular band in relief, slightly bent upper limbs at the elbows, and hands depicted with parallel lines. Under the hands, there is a horizontally placed dagger with a handle featuring a semilunar pommel and a blade inserted in a rectangular sheath. The sheath has ribs on the sides and ends with three points.
