Aulla
Head of a statue stele; it was discovered in 1996 in the Calamazza area, in the woods just south of the city of Aulla (MS). It was found on the ground near a dilapidated farmhouse. Above the door lintel, at the center, the harpoons and the mortar imprint indicate the precise point where it was housed. It belongs to group B and can therefore be dated back to the Eneolithic period (between 3400/3300 and 2300/2000 BC). The head has a low arched profile with lateral expansions, quite deteriorated, and rests on a rectangular section neck with a hint of shoulder expansion on the right side. The face, barely visible, is circular and slightly raised compared to the surface.
